Fuschia Pink is the New Red!!

It's been a reaaallly long time since i wrote a blog (maybe like a million years ago). Well i used to have a tumblr and i rarely post on my tumblr. I prefer posting my makeups on instagram. But one of my friend suggested to write a blog, she said my makeup looks great and it's too dearly to just post it on instagram. Well, yeah.. i always wanted to have a blog on a blogspot actually. But i never have time to do it until now.  Anyway, here i am now writing my very first blog post. 

My very first post here is a review about a brand new lip product from Sariayu named Sariayu Duo Lip Color in Krakatau Series. This lip product launched a few months ago along with another Krakatau Series Trend by Sariayu. It's still hot... fresh from the oven!! (If makeups made on the oven hehehe.. )

Since i've watched Lisa Eldridge's youtube videos Ultimate Guide to Pink Lips , i literally obsessed with pink fuschia matte lipstick. Especially the one that Lisa showed which is Urban Decay Matte Revolution in Menace and NARS lipstick in Schiap. Unfortunately, both of those lippies are reaaally expensive for me. I googled a lot about dupes of those lippies and i find a few one, NYX SMLC in Addis Ababa and Maybelline Colorsensational Vivid Lip Color in Electric Fuschia. I also looked for a few local brands and two international brands that available here, Maybelline and Revlon. And finally my choice fell to this local liquid lippie. Thanks to the knowledge that Lisa gave me to choose the right fuschia pink color for me and of course a few other considerations. 

THE CLAIM
Sorry if the picture is a lil bit blurred. It's difficult to take a pictures of your left hand with your right hand without trembling. They claimed here that this lip product contains amethyst powder, vitamin E, bisabolol, and sunscreen, to maintain lips as well as to protect lips from irritation and the harmful of UV rays.

This product also free from animal testing which is awesooome!!

THE PACKAGING

I always love the pattern from their packaging, it's really exotic, kinda describe our country really well, but sadly the pattern is on the plastic wrap and not on the tubes. I don't want to ruin the plastic wrap so i kinda did an extra effort to open it. As it said, this is a duo lip color, it has two formulation (matte and gloss) from the same lip color. Or so i thought.. I'll explain later just keep reading. From the outside you can't really tell which one is gloss and which one is matte until you see what's written in the palstic wrap tubes. This is why i don't want to ruined the plastic wrap because if i ruined it, i can't tell which side is matte and which side is gloss. 

THE SWATCHES

The texture of this product is not liquidy, it's really creamy and thick, both the gloss and the matte. The pigmentation is awesome! Actually before i bought this lippie, i kinda swatch a few different products from a few different brands until i got this one. I swatched Maybelline Velvet Matte in MAT 10 (too wearable, i want a pink fuschia lipstick that have a head turning effect and it took a quite a long time before it turned completely matte), Maybelline Colorsensational Vivids Lip Color in Electric Fuschia (It's Matte, but it's too bright with a white base and not suitable for my complexion), Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lipcolor in Obsession ( It's too red and not enough blue on it), And Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Wild Orchid (It's beautiful, i like it, but it's not matte). Of all those lippies i tried, this one, brighten up my complexion the most. And i can choose between matte lips or glossy lips. What more can i ask? But sadly, different from what i expected, there's a bit color different between the matte and the glossy. You can see from the picture down here that the glossy one is slightly more red than the matte one. And the color of the matte one is perfect for me, it's not too blue or too red. It's just perfect! Seriously, just a slight red or blueon a lipstick is a big matter in the makeup world. It's determined whose gonna wear that color. Is it a girl with a light complexion, medium complexion, or dark complexion. 

To further explained what i'm talking about, here is a swatch on my lips with flash. Please ignore zits and my peach fuzz. I forgot to shaved... Hahahahaha 

Pic 1, (Can you tell where i put number one on the pic? Zoom it! It's above my left mole. I'm sorry for this error, i kept trying to add number 1 there but it keep disappear until i realized it was there but reaaaaaaaaaaaally small. Hehehe..) I made an ombre lips using only the Matte one.

Pic 3, Full lips using only Glossy. Did you see a slight different between number 2 and 3? That's what i'm talking about. 

Pic 4, Full lips using both Matte and Glossy. If you use both, it's not as red as when you use only the Glossy one. 

Yup! I know i will be using the Matte one a lot more than the Glossy one. 

THE ENDURANCE 

This lippie need 5 to 10 minutes before it completely dry. But if you try to touch your lips before that, of course it will transfer a little bit. What i kinda like from this matte lip product is that it's eatproof, unless you eat food that have too many oil in eat like bala-bala, nasi padang, or baso. Lol. I actually don't really like liquid lippie that difficult to erased. But this one can be wiped easily without using makeup remover. It'll only leave you a bit stain that you can also clean up later. I notice that this lippie won't budge from your lips until you eat something oily or wiped it. This is a thumbs up for a local product with great quality, pigmentation, and affordable price. 

THE PRICE 

It's sold for idr 99.000 at nearby Sariayu counter.The price is waaaaay cheaper than the Urban Decay one or the NARS one. I think for product like this where you can choose between Glossy or Matte with a good color payoff,  it's quite worth your money. It's also sold in another 11 lip color that you can choose. 

THE FOTD 

For this type of shocking color you must consider to wear a light eye makeup so that the attention drawn to your lips only. Maybe a mascara and tightlining your eyes with a little bit of kitten flick on the outer corner of your eyes. Well, you don't want to confused people to choose between your eyes or your lips, right? To tie the whole look, make sure you use blush with the same vibe. If you can't find that kind of blush, no sweat, you can always use your lippie as your blush. Especially if it's matte. Here is me with the pink fuschia matte lips. Look at that bright smiley face saying, "This is definitely the color!" 

 And here is me using the Glossy one. Look at that uncheerful smile. That's how much i dislike the Glossy one. lol

But yeaah... all in all i love this lippie, i can still tolerate the cons. I love the color too much that i consider this pink fuschia color as the new red! (I'm sorry red...) How about you? Are you agree too?
